ACSN to Welcome New Neurosurgeon

ACSN is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Sheri Dewan to our group. Dr. Dewan completed her graduate degree in Neuroscience at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  She then pursued her medical degree at The Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She completed her surgical internship and neurosurgical training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. During her training she completed a gamma knife fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Georg Noren. 

Dr. Dewan has authored multiple articles for peer-reviewed journals and has given international and national lectures on her research. She has also received awards for her original research on radiosurgery for brain tumors. She is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Women in Neurosurgery.

Her special interests include brain tumors, complex spinal disorders, Chiari malformations, and pituitary tumors.

Dr. Dewan will join the ACSN neurosurgical staff in the summer of 2012.
