Dr. Sheri Dewan
Dr. Sheri Dewan graduated from The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University and received her neurosurgical training at Brown University.

Dr. Sheri Dewan completed her graduate degree in Neuroscience at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  She then pursued her medical degree at The Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  During this time she was president of the American Medical Association (AMA) and a Dean’s List recipient.  Following the completion of medical school training she then pursued a surgical internship and neurosurgical training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.  During this time she served as chief resident to a busy clinical service including adults and pediatrics.  She also covered a Level I spine and neurotrauma center.  Dr. Dewan has received advanced training in cranial endoscopy and gamma knife radiosurgery. 

Dr. Dewan has authored multiple articles for peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Neurosurgery, and she has given international and national lectures on her research.  She has also received awards for her original research on radiosurgery for brain tumors.  She is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Women in Neurosurgery.

Her special interests include brain tumors, complex spinal disorders, chiari malformation, and pituitary tumors.

Dr. Dewan has lived in five countries including; South Korea and Saudi Arabia and has an extensive travel history.  In her free time she enjoys traveling, scuba diving and spending time with her husband and two children.
