Dr. Juan Alzate
Dr. Juan C. Alzate es un graduado de la escuela de Medicina de la Universidad del Valle en Cali, Colombia, recibio su entrenamiento en Neurocirugia en Colombia y en la ciudad de New York en el Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Alzate is a member of the North American Spine Society and was also a research scholar at the Free University in Berlin, Germany and at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a focus on endoscopic approaches to the brain and spine. Dr. Alzate is a board certified neurosurgeon.
Dr. Alzate has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored many book chapters and has spoken at numerous conferences both in the U.S. and Colombia. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
His special interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, complex and minimally invasive endoscopic cranial-base surgery (i.e., endoscopic pituitary surgery), and chiari Malformations. Dr. Alzate is fluent in English and Spanish, and cares for both adult and pediatric neurosurgical patients.
